OBJECTIVES OF THE DIVE FESTIVAL:
•To encourage all divers to get back into the water.
•To raise moneys for needy support systems in our nation. Our chosen charity is the NSRI.
•The aim is to remain the top National event on the Diving calendar in the industry
•Build the National as well as International element of the festival, making it the "WINTER DIVE FESTIVAL" in Southern Africa.
The dive fest is now a registered Nelson Mandela Bay tourism event
ACTIVITIES:
•We cater for recreational SCUBA diving, giving divers the opportunity of enjoying a weekend of affordable and safe diving.
•A weekend of entertainment, food, fun and friendship, meeting old and new friends
•Enjoy professionally lead dives for open water and advanced divers
•Over 9 different dive sites from shallow 10 metres to midrange 18 metres to deep 26 metres
•All dive sites have descriptions and layout info
•Stalls with the leading brands of dive gear available in our country as well as meet and get advice from the scuba professionals
•Pre - booking facilities for you to forward plan your break and for us to manage and plan diving schedules
•R80.00 registration fees per dive as well as a gift hamper for pre booked dives
•R95.00 registration fees per dive if booked on the day with no pre -bookings
•The opportunity of winning fantastic prizes & luck draws throughout the day
•All divers will receive Peaks & Bennies
•Tank refills on site at affordable rates (Cylinder turnaround time 2 hours from when cylinder is handed in)
•Experience the wonders of the Eastern Cape's hard and soft corals, some of the most beautiful along South Africa's coastline.
•Equipment hire of basic scuba gear only - we recommend you bring as much of your own gear as possible.
•Shuttle service from car park to beach area for family, friends & scuba gear
•Secure parking
On the day besides the dives on offer, there will be the following entertainment and activities:
- Stalls with the leading brands of dive gear available in our country as well as meet and get advice from the scuba professionals
- The opportunity of winning fantastic prizes & luck draws throughout the day
- Helicopter Rides
- Jumping Castle
- Fun Boat Rides
- Kids care centre - divers, enjoy your time in the water while your kids are being entertained.

The 31st Vidal Wahoo Spearfishing Competition will be held on the weekend 5th - 7th June. Arrive Friday 5th to dive comp on Sat 6th June.
Entrants are limited to 120 spearoes and 35 Boats.
You can dive off a paddleski or shore dive and you don't have to be spearo to come and enjoy yourself.
The entry fee for DUC Members is R400.Non Members pay R500.
FEE INCLUDES:
Entrance Fee to the competiton and a T Shirt
Sit Down Dinner in a Marquee on Friday Evening
Boat Pack for the Comp on 6th.
Saturday �Sit Down Dinner and Prize Giving
Sunday Morning Breakfast (Big One)
As much Beer as you can drink until stocks run out.�

6 March 2009: Last day of registration at NUC.
14, 15 March 2009: Lectures at NUC.
21, 22 March 2009: Pool sessions.
25 March 2009: Exam.
28, 29 March 2009: Pool sessions
4,5 April 2009: Fresh water dive Miracle Waters or Marico-oog.
17, 18, 19 April 2009: Sodwana.
Cost R1500.
